Our Great City
Local Responder Greg Qualls to be honored
Every year our nation gratefully recognizes the brave men and women that gave their lives on 9/11. In that spirit, ToHonorThem.com, a new local Grapevine social media website, will honor Bedford firefighter and Texas USAR first responder Greg Qualls for serving our community, our state and our country.
Greg Qualls was on the First Response Team deployed to the Bridge City area in 2008 after Hurricane Ike devastated the region. At that time, Scott Buchanan and his family had been evacuated from the area and were given Gregʼs cell phone number. Scott remembers, “No matter the time of day, no matter where he was, it seemed that Greg was always available. He brought comfort and calmness to our family and our situation.”
On September 11, 2010 at 5:30pm at the Lifestage Theater in Grapevine, Texas, ToHonorThem.com will present Greg Qualls with a beautiful framed honor award and a unique engraved brick that will be laid at the new Bedford Public Library. The entire public is welcome to attend this inspiring event and is invited to meet this amazing local hero!
ToHonorThem.com will be launching their new website in conjunction with the event. ToHonorThem.com was created to enable citizens to capture, preserve and share special memories and stories about the many heroes who serve and protect. From underpaid teachers worthy of praise, special coaches changing lives, the military veterans who deserve to be saluted and the countless Americans who make a difference every day...ToHonorThem.com will be the place to honor these deserving people. This will be a very special event.
