December 2011 Family of the Month--The House Family
Steve & Stephanie House, married for 29 years, moved from Florida to the Grapevine/Colleyville area in 1996. They have 3 children, MeKenzie, age 20, and Harrison and Madeline, age 18, who are twins.
Stephanie has held various volunteer positions in the community, including many PTA board positions along the way, from elementary to high school. Along with her work in the National Charity League, she is currently the Media Coordinator for GHS Football Boosters, a board member for Mid Cities Panhellenic and co-chair for their "Forum" event.
Steve works for USMD, Inc. as president of the Lithotripsy Services Division. He currently serves as the President of the GHS Football Booster Club & is a member of the Grateful Dads program at GHS. He has also contributed as the President of the board for the Colleyville Youth Football Association and coached a variety of youth sports for over 10 years.
MeKenzie graduated from Grapevine High School and is a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and served this year as a Director for University Sing. MeKenzie is majoring in Advertising.
Harrison & Madeline are twins and seniors at GHS. Madeline, along with mom and older sister MeKenzie, have been involved in the Colleyville Chapter of National Charity League for past 8 years, assisting local charities such as Meals on Wheels, Grace, Metroport Teen Court, La Dora Nursing Home, Christmas Providers, Colleyville Library, Safe Haven, Special Olympics, Grapevine Heritage Foundation & GCISD Summer Reading Program.
Harrison plays football for Grapevine as a tight end/receiver and special teams player and has recently been a part of a select group of players who visit elementary classes with the Read to Succeed Program.
The House family is also active with their church, First Baptist Colleyville, and is honored to be the Grapevine/Colleyville Family of the Month.
October 2011 Family of the Month--The Davis Family
Meet the Davis family, Paul Jr, Demmie, Lauren and Dakota, a family that lives their life around their work and their Colleyville community.
Paul, Lauren and Dakota are all practicing dentists in the Davis Family Dental Care Center on Harwood Road in Bedford. Dr. Paul Davis, Jr., has been caring for families in the Mid-Cities area for almost 30 years and in 2007 and 2010 he welcomed both of his daughters, Drs. Lauren and Dakota, into the practice to work alongside him. Paul and Demmie have been happily married for 34 years. Mom, Demmie, greets patients at the front desk and makes them feel like part of the family.
The Davis family also considers the team members at the office to be a part of their family. They are proud to say that most of the team members have been with the office between 10 and 18 years. Davis Family Dental Care is a family practice in every sense of the word!
October 2011 Family of the Month--The Ridley Family
Jason and Sheila Ridley met in 1987 at Richland High School and have always called north Texas home. Jason has one brother and two sisters. Sheila is the middle child with 1 sister and 1 brother. In July of 2011, Jason and Sheila celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. They have two children.

September 2011 Family of the Month--The Patterson Family
Mike and Barbara Patterson moved to Grapevine in the 1980s. They met and married in 1993 and enjoy living in Grapevine while raising their two sons, Kevin (16) and Mark (12).
August 2011 Family of the Month--The St. Johns
John and Becky St. John moved to Grapevine in the early 1990’s when Becky was posted to Grapevine Lake as a park ranger for the Corps of Engineers, and John began graduate school at TCU (Go FROGS!). As native Texans, they were drawn by the small-town feel and sense of history and place that hasn’t diminished in the nearly 20 years since. While doing genealogical research, Becky discovered extended family that settled just across Denton Creek in the Farmer’s Branch area in the early 1850’s and had a hand in starting Trinity Mills.

The Covington Family--Steve, Pam, Chase and Preston--are proud to be named the July 2011 Family of the Month by OurGreatCity!
Steve grew up on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina and Pam grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They met in college at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC where Steve earned his degree in Business Finance and Pam earned hers in Business Marketing and Management. Steve earned his post-graduate degree in Finance from University of Dallas.
