Identify Theft Seminar hosted by Asset Preservation Group

The Asset Preservation Group hosted an Identity Theft Seminar at the Colleyville Center with guest speaker Detective Kelly Smith of the Grapevine Police Department.

Book signing by local author breaks record at Border's

Many local fathers got Mark Fadden’s latest political thriller for Father’s Day this year. Fadden signed copies of The Brink, which takes readers on a perilous race from northern Mexico to Washington, D.C. as the hero and heroine try to thwart a global financial conspiracy, this past Saturday afternoon at the Colleyville Borders book store. “Being a local author, Mark generated a lot of pre-signing interest,” said Lori Lortscher of Borders. “He also interacted well with our customers during the signing, which boosted the sale of his book. It was our most successful book signing of the year. I hope we are lucky enough to have him back again."

Grapevine Women's Tennis Classic

The USTA Grapevine Women’s $50,000 Tennis Classic is taking place at Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine July 4 – 11, 2010. This is the largest women’s tennis competition in Texas and a U.S. Open qualifier. The event, which begins the day after the 2010 Wimbledon Finals, will have some new attractions, additional covered seating and night matches this year in addition to the day time action. Players ranked as high as No. 40 in the world typically compete in these Pro Circuit events. The four winners of the qualifying tournament will receive a spot in the main draw of the tournament. The roster for this year’s tournament will be released June 23, 2010.

Colleyville "Bank on Books" Summer Reading Program

The "Bank on Books" Summer Reading Program begins on June 12 and runs through the Grand Finale Celebration on August 5.

July 10--Colleyville Hop A Park

July is National Parks and Recreation month. To celebrate the Parks and
Recreation department is throwing a party at four (4) of our major parks in three (3) hours. Jump, hop and skip park to park with us to celebrate this nationally recognized holiday on July 10.

All Ages are invited. It starts at 9 AM at McPherson Park with a Dog Costume Parade. At 10 AM, go to Kimzey Park for a Bicycle-Tricycle Parade. At 11 AM, Sparger Park will be the scene of Races and Relays. And finally, at 12 noon, go to the City Park for Lunch and a Performance by Nana Pudding Kids.
