Our Great City

Musical Moments provides live piano or keyboard music, and I would love to entertain for your next event. I play a variety of music: wedding, classical, pops, jazz, country, oldies or a mix. I have an extensive repertoire of Christmas carols and favorites.

Whether the event is a wedding at the Adolphus, a Christmas brunch at Hilton’s DFW Lakes, a sing-along at Town Village Arlington, a Mayor’s Reception at the Colleyville Community Center, a political fund-raiser playing “The Eyes of Texas” for George W. Bush, a large Christmas party at the home of Pat Summerall, or an intimate dinner party at a local home, listeners have said that I have “made a lovely event even lovelier,” and to the occasion I have “added a sparkle of beauty.”

Since childhood, music has added sparkle to my life. After receiving my B.A. in piano performance from Judson College in Elgin, Illinois, I served for many years as a church organist/pianist in various denominations in Illinois and Texas while employed as an elementary teacher during the week. My music is affordable and appropriate. It can be soft to allow conversation among guests or energetic to encourage those who love to dance or sing along. I will play the piano on site or provide my versatile electronic keyboard. It has the sounds of a piano, a band, or an orchestra with great rhythms, and you may choose your favorite songs and sounds.

Playing the keyboard with the Monday morning country/pops/gospel group at the Grapevine Senior Activity Center has been very rewarding. It is eagerly anticipated by the musicians and the seniors as a great way to start the week. Outside the “music box” I thoroughly enjoy volunteering at the DFW USO where I spend four hours every Tuesday helping to show appreciation to the military who sacrifice so much for our country. Being a grandmother of eight has also been a joy. I like to cook and love to stay in touch with my family.
