Our Great City

The Grapevine Lions Club was Chartered on November 26th 1934, and is part of the worlds largest service organization, Lions Clubs International where more than 1.4 million Lions serve 44,500 Lions Clubs located in 186 countries world wide.

Our Club was sponsored by the Decatur Lions Club, and is the oldest service organization in Grapevine, chartered before there was a Chamber of Commerce. It is a little known fact that the cities present house numbering system was initiated by the Lions Club, and the group provided wooden posts and crosspieces for street signs.
