Elvis sighted in Grapevine!
The last of the Downtown Grapevine Merchant Association “Summer Nights” culminated this past Friday with an “Aloha Night” featuring hula dancers and Elvis impersonators. Live music was available, a balloon artist was making free balloon art for the kids, and there was a dunk tank that raised money for GRACE. In addition, the Chevrolet Camaro being raffled off by GRACE was on proud display.
The three Elvis impersonators were Nathan Belt, Doug Olvey and Tommy Roberts.
Alex Rivera of Keller, shown above, started off the dunk tank festivities. He is a fourth grader and the son of Stephanie and Mike Rivera
The youngest of all throwers was Hogan, who is 3½ from Southlake.
Several big names in Grapevine volunteered to be “dunkees”, such a P.W. McCallum, Shonda Schaefer, Gail Hall and Marti Pevehouse.
The Halau Ho-ola Ka Mana O Hawaii group provided a free demonstration of native dance, then offered lessons to some of the aspiring dancers.
A job well done to the Downtown Grapevine Merchants Association!
