Grapevine Women's Tennis Classic

The USTA Grapevine Women’s $50,000 Tennis Classic is taking place at Hilton DFW Lakes in Grapevine July 4 – 11, 2010. This is the largest women’s tennis competition in Texas and a U.S. Open qualifier. The event, which begins the day after the 2010 Wimbledon Finals, will have some new attractions, additional covered seating and night matches this year in addition to the day time action. Players ranked as high as No. 40 in the world typically compete in these Pro Circuit events. The four winners of the qualifying tournament will receive a spot in the main draw of the tournament. The roster for this year’s tournament will be released June 23, 2010.

"The entry list was released today and everyone of our main draw girls has competed in a grand slam which makes for high quality tennis. These are some of the best players in the world," said Tournament Director Chris Giordano.

Throughout the event, Hilton DFW Lakes will be hosting tennis clinics for local schools and the Grapevine community including free clinics for Grapevine residents, as well as clinics for the Special Olympics and the Multicultural Initiative of the USTA.

Tickets are currently available for all sessions of the Grapevine USTA Women’s $50,000 Tennis Classic – Sunday-Monday-$5 per person each day or $8 per person for both days; Daily evening session is $6 per person; Tuesday-Friday: $8; Semifinals-Saturday: $15 per person; Finals Sunday: $20 per person. Event passes for the week are $65 per person. VIP Boxes are available for 8 persons for the entire tournament for $500. One day pass with official tournament T-shirt is $30 and discounted tickets for food daily are available online for $8 ($10 at gate).
