Drive into the Night Golf Tournament
Anyone who's played golf knows it can be a frustrating experience. Well, just imagine how frustrating it would be if you couldn't see the fairways, the bunkers, the green, or even the hole!
That's what it was like for a sold out tournament at Grapevine Municipal Golf Course this past weekend as over 70 golfers took aim and swung to benefit GRACE. The evening included silent auction items, dinner, free drinks, and an evening to remember on the course.
Putting required a lighted ball, a steady hand, and a partner to hold the flashlight
There was closest to the pin, longest drive, and a putting contest. The 1st place team winners were Cory Halliburton, Mark Moyer, Bart Talkington, and Scott Taft! Coming in 2nd were Terry Hough, John Schock, David Hartrick, and Mike Smith! In 3rd place were Tim Hall, David Lockhart, Laurie Warfield, and Forrest Vlahogeorge from one of the Scientel/Motorola teams! Keith Kyle took home the Closest to the Pin honors on the seventh hole, while Gary Cochran claimed his Longest Drive title on the ninth. The Putting contest was won by Tanner Hollinger, a junior at CHHS.
