Our Great City

This Monday is the first day of school for GCISD students. If you've been around the schools this week, you've seen lots of cars in the parking lots as teachers and administrators prepare for the return of thousands of students.

Remember that school zones will be back in force, and that cell phones are prohibited. Also, be watchful in the neighborhoods for small children.

Whether you made it to the beach

or to the mountains

or somewhere in between, we hope you had a great summer!

And if you didn't make it on vacation this summer and you have school age kids, well, IT"S TOO LATE!!
